Flashback Friday XXXIX

So this past week has been a bit slower in other areas and I had more time for reading. I honestly really didn't have a very good week at first. actually, but reading was a nice coping strategy. I finally finished moving into my new room, but now I have the daunting task of organizing all my stuff that has piled up over the years. Honestly, I have no idea how all of it fit into my old room because it was twice as small.

But anyway. I finished a few books this week, so I'm pleased about that. :)

Top Ten Tuesday XVIII

May 26:
Ten Books I Plan To Have In My Beach Bag This Summer

I don't really do the whole beach-reads, summery book thing. I swear, I will read anything (within my own preferences) at the beach or during the summer. So I'm just going to use this prompt as an opportunity to challenge myself to definitely read at least the following ten books this summer...

Showcase Sunday / Stacking the Shelves / The Sunday Post XXXIX

The problem with working more hours this summer? I realized that I can place twice as many holds because I'll already be there to pick them up... xD

Flashback Friday XXXVIII

So I've been fooling around with updating the look of the blog. Haven't really done much yet besides testing out different font combinations and color schemes, but I'm planning to freshen things up before next month.

I also removed a few older reviews that I'd like to redo (mostly manga scanulations from three years ago or not very in-depth series reviews). I would like to get out a few new reviews next month as well, but we'll see how it goes. I don't really want to feel as though I have to review something, and right now I just really feel like catching up on some reading and writing. And reorganizing my new room. Plus, next month I'm working like a ton... *sighs* But money...so yeah...

Hey I read something this week! :P

Showcase Sunday / Stacking the Shelves / The Sunday Post XXXVIII

I did another bad, bad thing. I used the remainder of my *alleged* spending money...and got more books. It's not like I don't already have three bookcases overflowing with books that I haven't even read yet. Ohhhh no. I need more. It's a sickness...

But anyway. It was a great price (curse you Bookoutlet...jk, I love you), and while I haven't read any of them yet, they're near the top of the summer tbr pile.

Flashback Friday XXXVII

So apparently we are using the same textbook next year for Chinese, so apparently I can't count it as read yet. Boo. As far as my Japanese art history reading goes, I kinda winged *wung?* it this semester. I'm counting two of the textbooks as completed *mostly* but the other was just way too fat and I'm a lazy bum...plus, I think I'll be using some of them again next spring for another, more in depth class so we'll see how long they can actually be counted for as "read".

But alas...

I had my last final this morning, and I would rather not dwell on it further. It's done. I'm free. I'm not going to worry about my grades until Tuesday (when they should be posted by, but generally aren't). I'm just going to go grab some ice cream and chill for the rest of the weekend AND AIN'T NOBODY GONNA STOP MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! xD

Showcase Sunday / Stacking the Shelves / The Sunday Post XXXVII

Well, I haven't been working here lately, because of school, so there was no going crazy with picking up holds, but I did a very bad thing...I bought some books.......

But I mean, really. It's Stiefvater! Of course I was gonna buy it eventually.

And I'm reeeeeally hoping to head to Japan next summer and this book has been begging me to buy it for weeks now...so I did.

Flashback Friday XXXVI

So I finished some books!!! :O I'm not actually sure if I'll be using the same textbook next semester for my Chinese class, since we still had three units left, but for now I am counting it as completed. For Color Theory, we read about 60% of the book, which I think entails a Read status. I'm currently trying to catch up in my Japanese art history reading so hopefully by this time next week I can add three more books to the completed pile. :) AND THEN BACK TO FUN READING!!!!!!!

Classes are now over...three finals to go...
