Flashback Friday IX
So I know I've missed a lot of posts: specifically, the 15th and 22nd Sunday posts and the 20th and 27th Friday posts. Though, technically, I hadn't got out much or read anything, so it didn't really matter. Being so close to the end of the year, I get rather frustrated with blogging... I will be doing a Sunday post tomorrow, since I did get a few things recently...
Thoroughly unbook related... My last professor finally emailed me back about a specific grade, so I can officially stop thinking about that now. I'm not even really anxious to start looking for that summer internship. I just want to give my brain a break. Had a nice break for the holidays and I don't have to go back to work until next Sat/Sun. Didn't get any books, but I got a target giftcard, so same difference. :P Actually, scratch that, my sister got me this 1890 something children's book, Alice's Tea Party, because I like old books, so that was pretty neat. I still have two friends to give gifts, and my sister's birthday on New Year's Eve. I'm at that point where I wished I had more of a break before Christmas, because now it's just over and I never feel like I get into the spirit fast enough and it's never ever long enough. =/ But there was time enough for decorating and Christmas shopping and cookie baking (though I burnt most of mine), so I can't complain too much. Christmas eve was really nice and relaxing and I was able to help my mom out so she was really happy (once you get me dusting, I am unstoppable). And I got my mom her present a day late, but it seems UPS had lots of people complaining about that this year...but my mom loved getting it the day after, so I was happy about that. :)
Ok, book related again, but I don't think Im going to reach either of my goals for the year, unfortunately. I thought it might be helpful to give myself a brief Currently Reading list.
Tomorrow, I'll list what I got out recently, and hopefully next Friday I can list some read stuff. Starting next month/year, I hope to remember to do a beginning of the month Currently Reading post as a prompt for myself to get certain books done each month. We'll see... I'll also post a list of what I got to in 2013 as a whole.
I believe that's all...

Top Ten Tuesday XI
So I am slightly annoyed with myself, but I didn't do last week's Sunday post because I didn't get my hands on anything the week before, and I forgot to do last week's Friday post because I had a friend over and was totally exhausted. And then I forgot to do this week's Sunday post, which I will just have to catch up on next week since I did get some books recently, as well as catch up on my Friday post in any reading I got done recently. I had planned not to post for awhile, but I like my not posting to be more organized, so hopefully I can get it all straightened out after the holidays, and also get in some book reviews starting next month. Anyway, now that that's off my mind...
I don't really expect to get any books for Christmas, but if I were, these are a few that I wouldn't mind owning... There's alot more than this, of course, but this is mostly more recently stuff or stuff I've wanted for a looooong time....

December 17: Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read In 2013
Most of what I read this year (which wasn't very much to begin with), were by new (to me) authors. I actually didn't read much more than this total, which is annoying. I've listed also what books I read by them this year. Some of these books had more than one author as well. I'm not saying as of right now whether I liked or disliked any, but I will mention that in my end of the year post. Anyway, here's the list...

Flashback Friday VIII
So. I had my last final yesterday. HUZZAH! :D I also found out I got A's in two of my four classes, don't know about the other two yet. I am sooo happy about that. :)
I had a bit of a rough week but yesterday things started to look up and I'm feeling much better now. I haven't done much reading, obviously... I'm still just focusing on Bird and Black Butler XV and Durarara!! 4. I read Gaiman's Fortunately, the Milk, JF, but I loved it. So cute and short and funny. I also realized there was a slight error in my last post. My online shelf says I am on Pandora Hearts 15, instead of 17. I'm not really sure anymore... I'm just going to start with 15 because I just don't know, and it's harder to tell because they're re-reads. I re-read 14 back in March, which is hard to believe... I haven't checked the online updates in ages, either. I am just so shocked by how little reading I got done this year. =/ *sighs*
I'll probably do all my posts next week, but I will probably go on hiatus for Christmas week.

December 10: Top Ten Books On My Winter TBR
I am annoyed at myself for not being able to get this post out yesterday, but there's just been a lot going on in my life right now and I wasn't having the best of days yesterday...Technically, I am not thoroughly excited over all of these books. This is more or less my End of the Year List, books that I have repeatedly started and then set aside, or have meant to start for ages but haven't. I want to read them all next year, and the best place to start would be this January. I'm sure there are other books I'm dying to read but I am too lazy to look them all up. Some of these, though, I am excited about, so don't get me wrong in thinking that any of these are a drag. I just haven't had the time... Roughly in the order that I've been putting them off the longest for... I'm sure I'm missing a few, but this is what came to mind first. I am not counting books that I'm planning on finishing this year (there are quite a few that got set aside for awhile). It's actually a little more then 10, so sue me...

Flashback Fridy VII
So I just realized I never did my Currently Reading for December post... I’ll try and get that out sometime next week, even though it feels rather pointless since I do similar ramblings in my Friday posts. It’s been crazy busy recently. I've gotten very little sleep, staying up late to work on papers (or work, or anime club) and getting up early for classes. There were even a few nights I was unable to chill online like I usually like to because of this, nor will I be able to do that tonight since our internet plan is sucky and doesn’t reset until Sunday. GAH! So tomorrow I will die...but I will get much studying done...but I will die. But! Today I had my very very very last class for the semester. Eeeeeep! And then I realized...
(I also found another image earlier on this week that summed up my life, as of recently, somewhat perfectly, but now I can't find it/remember it) Happily, one of my finals was canceled so I don’t have to give a yucky presentation for my transfer class anymore. Woot! I just have two finals on Tuesday and one on Thursday, and then I am free! :D I still have quite a bit of hw left, though, since I still have one paper to finish, my portfolio to put together, some reading, and three exams to study for. *sighs* I probably won’t get to much fun reading this weekend, but we shall see...
So. I’m still working on Bird, but not recently. I bought some manga (which I will officially list on Sunday), but I’ve read most of it all ready. I read Chi’s Sweet Home 10, Yotsuba! 12, and restarted/finished Black Butler XIV. I’m working on Black Butler XV now, as well as restarted Pandora Hearts 17. That's about it for now...

So for this week, I didn't get much. I ordered a few books on Amazon, which I haven't received yet so I won't count them. This is what came in for me at the library today. Still have some holds at another branch, but I'll get them tomorrow, most likely, so I'll count those, too. Also waiting for a few to finish shipping, but I'll count those next time...
